The short version
- Before you answer the banner, we set nothing except what is required to show the site.
- “Reject all” is one tap, in the same place and the same size as “Accept all”.
- Rejecting costs you nothing — every game still plays in full.
- Your answer is remembered for 180 days, then we ask again.
- You can change your mind at any moment from the footer of any page.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. Related technologies — local storage and session storage — do much the same job and are covered by this notice too, because the law looks at what the technology does, not what it is called.
Categories we use
Strictly necessary — always on
Needed for the site to work at all, including remembering that you answered the cookie banner. These do not require consent under the ePrivacy rules, and cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
Preferences — off by default
Remembers choices you made yourself: which games you saved, whether sound is on, your last difficulty setting. Without this, the site simply forgets those between visits.
Analytics — off by default
Aggregated, anonymous statistics about which games are popular and how fast pages load. We currently count game launches server-side without any identifier at all, which is why the site works perfectly well with this switched off.
Advertising — off by default
Reserved for a future advertising partner. Nothing in this category is active today. If it ever becomes active, the partner will be named in the table below before any cookie is set, and it will remain opt-in.
The full list
| Name | Category | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
pk_consent | Strictly necessary | Records that you answered the banner and which categories you allowed, so we do not ask again on every page. | 180 days |
playkora.consent (local storage) | Strictly necessary | The detailed version of the same choice, including the consent ID that ties it to our audit record. | Until cleared or 180 days |
playkora.favourites (local storage) | Preferences | The list of games you saved with the heart button. | Until you clear it |
playkora.best.<game> (local storage) | Preferences | Your personal best score in an individual game. Written by the game itself, inside its own frame. | Until you clear it |
| Advertising cookies | Advertising | None in use. This row exists so you can see the category is empty today. | — |
The site sets no third-party cookies. Every game is hosted on playkora.com itself, so playing one does not hand your visit to another company.
Storage used by games
Each game runs in a sandboxed frame. Anything it stores — usually just a high score — is written to your own browser under the preferences category and never reaches our servers. Clearing your browser data removes it, and so does declining preferences.
Separately, we count how many times each game has been started. That count is a single number per game and per day, with no identifier, cookie or IP address attached to it, so it cannot be traced back to you. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.
Change or withdraw consent
Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent. Use the buttons below, or the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.
Browser-level controls
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a private-browsing mode that discards everything when you close the window. Blocking strictly necessary cookies means we have to ask you about cookies on every single page, because we have no way to remember your answer.
